The Face Behind the Art
Hello, my name is Kirsten Bergstrom and I am a 2D artist. I am currently a student at the Columbus College of Art and Design studying Animation. While I am studying and practicing the art of animation, I also enjoy drawing in my spare time digitally and with other mediums such as Copic markers and inks.
At a young age, I was inspired by animation a lot. I loved seeing the behind the scenes clips between commercials and it blew me away. I also enjoyed the cartoons I saw on YouTube and Newgrounds back in their prime and it made my little 8-year-old self think, “yeah, I wanna do that!” So here I am.
I like to think my style is unique because I’m inspired by both western cartoons and anime since I grew up with both influences. I love the look of big eyes and semi-realistic body types in cartoons.
